Mike Lamb is the Chief Executive Officer of Promotional Concepts. Mike is a 20-year veteran of the promotional products industry and was formerly the Owner and President of Red Oak Concepts for eight years. Prior to that, Mike was the Director of Operations for JII Sales Promotions in Red Oak. Mike works with the overall direction of Promotional Concepts to bring the “old-fashioned way” of providing Customer Service together with the “new-way” of strategic planning for Sales, Marketing and Operations.
Mike is married and has two grown children. His daughter is a registered nurse in Kansas City, MO and his son is graduating from the University of Northern Iowa with a teaching degree in Physical Education/History. Mike enjoys outdoor activities such as golf, hunting and working in the yard.
Bill Boeye is the Chief Financial Officer of Promotional Concepts and was formerly the President of Phoenix Promotional Products, Inc. Bill was born and raised in Red Oak, received majors in Journalism and Psychology from the University of Iowa and graduated with honors from Drake University Law School. Prior to heading up former Phoenix Promotional Products, Bill was the City Attorney and a general practitioner.
Bill is married to Jennifer and adopted their first daughter, Juhi, from India. In 2006, Macartnie Scout Boeye, their baby daughter was born. The family shares the 1874 Italianate home with their dog Chardonnay, cats Tigger, Murphy and Harley, two Guinea pigs and possibly some other critters in the garage. Bill enjoys golf, fishing, listening to music and being the caretaker of their old house.
A graduate of Southwestern Community College, Joy has more than 29 years of experience in the promotional products industry, working as Accounting Supervisor and in Corporate Programs. At Promotional Concepts, Joy is Office Manager and also handles Customer Service issues, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Human Resources. Joy and her husband Rick have two grown children - Casey and Lane and two wonderful grandchildren. Joy's hobbies include gardening, camping, boating,and fishing, and golf. She also enjoys spending time with her dogs - Beejay, a Bichon Frise; a Chloe, a Goldendoodle.
Amy has been in the Promotional Products Industry for 22 years. She will work closely with our suppliers to insure quality service, competitive pricing and innovative products are available to satisfy your customer’s needs. Amy keeps busy after work hours with her family. They enjoy the kids many sporting events, golfing and camping.
Barb has 22 years experience in the Promotional Products Industry. She will work behind the scenes filing business taxes and payroll. She will assist in customer service to administratively support your orders which will allow you time to grow your business. Barb and her husband have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. Barb also enjoys flower gardening, camping and traveling.
Bonnie has 33 years experience in the Ad Specialty industry. 23 years were with the Thos. D. Murphy beginning in the routing department for the in house calendars. She later became specialized in outsourcing calendars other than Thos. D. Murphy. Bonnie handled all calendar suppliers, ordering catalogs, samples for all sales reps for JII/SPAI, the Thos D. Murphy, Shedd-Brown and Shaw-Barton sales reps. When JII moved all calendars to the Ohio office she became a specialty correspondent, doing much the same as she is now with Promotional Concepts.
Bonnie works with sales reps to ensure their orders move thru the system from beginning to shipped stages. She provides quotes, research, proofs, samples and tracking information. She is also available in crunch times and can figure, enter and proof orders. Bonnie and her husband, Ivan, have three children and 4 grandchildren. Two sons, Tony and Chris, live in Iowa where the two oldest granddaughters, Olivia and Vivian live with their dad, Chris. Their daughter, Angela and family, live in Iowa with grandson Brendan, and granddaughter Makayla. In spare time, Bonnie likes to do things with grandchildren, crochet, read and walk.
Sandy has over 10 years of experience in the promotional products industry. She started her career with JII Promotions and later went to work for Phoenix Promotional Products, Inc. after the closure of the Red Oak, Iowa division of JII Promotions. With the merger of Phoenix Promotional Products, Inc. and Red Oak Concepts, LLC., she now proudly calls Promotional Concepts, Inc. of Red Oak her second family.
Sandy and her fiancé, Jason, and daughter, Micayla are actively involved in many sporting activities with the Red Oak Community School District and the local Montgomery County YMCA. With Micayla’s active participation in sporting events, you might find them anywhere in the tri-state area of Iowa, Nebraska and Missouri participating in volleyball and basketball tournaments during the fall, winter and spring months. Summer time is spent taking Micayla to basketball and volleyball open gym practices and camps as well as tennis tournaments. Sandy and her family also enjoy camping, fishing and are avid fans of the NBA.
Pam has 25 years of experience in the promotional products area. She began her career in the calendar area moving to ad specialties.
The last 22 years she has been a corporate account specialist where she designed and implemented corporate programs, such as safety, service, and company stores for corporations and companies of all sizes. In this field, she worked closely with the sales people and their clients in developing what best suited their company needs. She also gained the experience of what was popular and current in the award and program fields.
She is married to her husband Rich and has three grown sons. Tom and Scott live in Iowa and Michael lives in Colorado with their families. In her spare time, she likes go to movies, and travel.
Rhonda has worked in the specialty advertising business since 1990. Most of her experience is in the processing of orders, which includes opening mail, figuring, order entry and proofing. Since 1998, she has expanded her experience to handling all billing of orders, issuing commission checks/transfers to salespersons and maintaining their reserve accounts.
Rhonda and her husband Paul were married in January 1997 and live on their 160-acre family farm Rhonda has one daughter, Ashle that also lives in Iowa and she is engaged to be married in 2012.
In Rhonda´s spare time she loves to read, play pool and visit with friends and family
Lori Smithberg has more than 16 years of experience in the promotional products industry. She started her venture With JII Promotions in May of 1995 and was there until they closed in March of 2002. Lori came back to the business working for Phoenix Promotional Products in August of 2002.
At JII, Lori started working in the mailroom. She soon moved out into the processing area. She started in the proofing department then moved to figuring orders. Soon after that, she learned order entry and became a sales correspondent.
At Promotional Concepts, Lori started in order entryand was the receptionist. She currently is a sales correspondent.
Missy has a long family history with the promotional products industry. Her mother, grandmother and grandfather have all worked locally in the industry.
Missy, a graduate of Southwestern Community College, has over 16 years in the industry. She started in the file room at JII and spent the majority of her years there in Corporate Programs.
Missy has spent seven years as accounts receivable specialist. She is in charge of collecting on accounts and works hard to keep them current. She also lends a hand whenever needed.
Kim has been working with the promotional industry for over four years now and really enjoys all the people she has met Prior to working for Promotional Concepts, she spent over eight years with the Red Oak Express, our local newspaper. She handled bookkeeping, advertising, circulation and human resources. She also spent 15 years working with the retail industry, which included management.
Kim originally came from Fraser, MI (a suburb of Detroit) where she met and married her husband, Mike. They now reside in Red Oak while raising two children, Shelby (19-who currently attends Iowa State University) and Corey (17-who’s a junior in High School). Their kids keep them very busy with all of their activities and sports. Mike farms locally with his father and brother. They raise and feed-out cattle, plus row crop beans and corn.
Kim’s hobbies are camping with family and friends, bowling,crafts and lots of reading.
Bob Boeye is the warehouse manager for Promotional Concepts Products, overseeing all shipments for Phoenix´s online stores. Bob is also a sales rep. for Phoenix for the last 6 years and has his own business R&B Golf and Promotions. Bob has over 30 years experience in the golf business and specializes in teaching, custom fitting and making golf clubs.
Bob was born and raised in Red Oak and is the assistant golf coach for the high school and runs the junior golf program at the Red Oak Country Club, Bob has worked at many of the countries top golf courses from Tucson, Arizona to Chicago, Illinois and Arlington, Texas where he received a degree in Psychology from The University of Texas at Dallas.
Bob has a son, Beau who is in high school in Red Oak. Bob has recently married his high school sweetheart Peggy and between them, they have 4 sons and 3 grandchildren. In his spare time Bob enjoys playing golf, listening to music and remodeling their family home.
