Bill Boeye, President

Bill Boeye is the President of Phoenix Promotional Products and was formerly the company´s corporate attorney. Bill was born and raised in Red Oak, received majors in Journalism and Psychology from the University of Iowa and graduated with honors from Drake University Law School. Prior to heading up Phoenix, Bill was the City Attorney and a general practitioner.

Bill is married to Jennifer and adopted their first daughter, Juhi, from India. In 2006, Macartnie Scout Boeye, their baby daughter was born. The family shares the 1874 Italianate home with Indiana and Chardonnay, their two dogs and Tigger the cat and possibly some other critters in the garage. Bill enjoys golf, fishing, listening to music and being the caretaker of their old house.

Joy Johnson, Secretary slash Treasurer

A graduate of Southwestern Community College, Joy has more than 24 years of experience in the promotional products industry, working as Accounting Supervisor and in Corporate Programs. At Phoenix, Joy is Office Manager and also handles Customer Service issues, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Human Resources.

Joy and her husband Rick have two grown children - Casey and Lane. Casey is a Marketing Consultant with United Healthcare in Minneapolis and has started her own Property Management business in Crosslake MN. Lane is Head Auto Technician for Red Oak Chrysler Plymouth.

Joy's hobbies include gardening, boating, fishing, hunting, volunteer conservation work and golf. She also enjoys spending time with her dogs - Beejay, a Bichon Frise; a Buddy, German Shorthair

Bonnie Husa, Sales Coordinator

Bonnie has 25 years experience in the Ad Specialty industry. 23 years were with the Thos. D. Murphy beginning in the routing department for the in house calendars. She later became specialized in outsourcing calendars other than Thos. D. Murphy. Bonnie handled all calendar suppliers, ordering catalogs, samples for all sales reps for JII/SPAI, the Thos D. Murphy, Shedd-Brown and Shaw-Barton sales reps. When JII moved all calendars to the Ohio office she became a specialty correspondent, doing much the same as she is now with Phoenix Promotional Products.

Bonnie works with sales reps to ensure their orders move thru the system from beginning to shipped stages. She provides quotes, research, proofs, samples and tracking information. She is also available in crunch times and can figure, enter and proof orders.

Bonnie and her husband, Ivan, have three children and 4 grandchildren. Two sons, Tony and Chris, live in Iowa where the two oldest granddaughters, Olivia and Vivian live with their dad, Chris. Their daughter, Angela and family, live in Oklahoma with grandson Brendan, and granddaughter Makayla. In spare time, Bonnie likes to do things with grandchildren, crochet, read and walk.

Sandy Taylor, Sales Coordinator

Sandy has 6 years of experience in the promotional products industry. She started her career working for JII Promotions where she started out in the file room and worked her way up to Pre-Sale Correspondent for the Eastern Sales Division. After JII Promotions closed their Red Oak facility in 2002, she briefly took some time off from the industry.

That would not last long as she eventually made her way back to what she knows and loves best when she started working for Phoenix Promotional Products, Inc. in 2004 as Sales Coordinator. Sandy works every day striving to achieve the best sales opportunities for her sales agents by researching for the old standard products as well as the new products that seem to make their way into the market every day. She handles orders, along with the rest of the Phoenix team, for her sales people in house so that her sales agents don´t have to worry about the «paperwork» side of the business. Sandy feels that her sales people should be supported in their selling and promoting by letting her and the rest of the Phoenix team worry about the details on the inside of the business. Sandy truly believes that the sales people are what make this business a success and she strives to help them make it happen.

Sandy and her fiancé, Jason, of 8 years spend their time running their children from one activity to another. Micayla, age 9, keeps them going from basketball games, volleyball games, and tennis matches. Sandy even acts as Assistant Leader to Micayla´s Girl Scout Troop. Elizabeth, age 11, blesses them with her flute while practicing for the middle school band. When not attending sporting events and band concerts, the family can be found enjoying the outdoors with their dog Rusty, a Yorkshire Terrier, either fishing or camping.

Pam Ayres, Corporate Programs Coordinator

Pam has 20 years of experience in the promotional products area. She began her career in the calendar area moving to ad specialties.

The last 17 years she has been a corporate account specialist where she designed and implemented corporate programs, such as safety, service, and company stores for corporations and companies of all sizes. In this field, she worked closely with the sales people and their clients in developing what best suited their company needs. She also gained the experience of what was popular and current in the award and program fields.

She has been married to her husband Rich for 38 years. They have three grown sons, Tom and Scott live in Iowa and Michael lives in Colorado. In her spare time, she likes go to movies, and travel.

Rhonda Cooley, Commissions slash Billing Department

Rhonda has worked in the specialty advertising business since 1990. Most of her experience is in the processing of orders, which includes opening mail, figuring, order entry and proofing. Since 1999, she has now expanded her experience to handling all billing of orders and commissions for the salespeople.

Rhonda and her husband Paul were married in January 1997 and have just recently purchased a new home to put on their 160-acre farm where they plan to continue to raise cattle. They have one daughter, Ashle that will be graduating from high school in 2008.

Rhonda´s spare time is spent attending high school functions and her daughter´s other extracurricular events

When there are no activities scheduled, she likes to play at home with her two pets, Molly, their miniature black/tan dachshund and Mr. Tim, their yellow/white striped tabby cat.

Lori Smithberg, Receptionist/Order Entry

Lori Smithberg has more than 11 years of experience in the promotional products industry. She started her venture With JII Promotions in May of 1995 and was there until they closed in March of 2002. Lori came back to the business working for Phoenix Promotional Products in August of 2002.

At JII, Lori started working in the mailroom. She soon moved out into the processing area. She started in the proofing department then moved to figuring orders. Soon after that, she learned order entry and became a sales correspondent.

At Phoenix Promotional Products, Lori started in order entry. After a while, she also carried the title of receptionist. She also helps the sales correspondents whenever possible.

Joan Garnatz, Order Processing

Joan has 35 years experience in the calendar and ad specialty industry. She spent 12 years doing calendar factory work, 5 years in charge of the stock ledger and the past 18 years in order processing.

At Phoenix Promotional Products, she is in charge of researching previous orders, obtaining tax codes, and figuring orders. She is in charge of proofing the orders and sending them to the vendors after they have been entered on the system. Joan also keeps the master vendor catalog file in order.

She has been married to her husband Steve for eleven years. They have five children, eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Her hobbies are antiques, going to stock car races and her grandchildren.

Jane Shearer  Utility Infielder

Jane has a strong 25 years of experience with the promotional products industry. She began at The Thos. D. Murphy Co. as secretary to Bill Murphy, left and went back as Bob McKenzie´s secretary. After several years off raising a family, she went back in 1979 as Bob Patterson´s secretary. After a few years as secretary, she became a specialty correspondent working closely with the sales representatives and factories. She retired as a Team Leader from JII in 2001.

However, retirement was not for her and she came to work part time for Phoenix in 2005. She has always worked closely with sales representatives, distributors and suppliers. She sources products, orders samples, checks on ship dates and fills in wherever needed.

Jane and her husband, Bob, raised seven children, have 7 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and enjoys reading, sewing, woodcrafts and researching genealogy in her spare time.

Betty Naico  Order Entry

Betty Naico has 20 years in Specialty Advertising starting at Thomas D Murphy. At Thos. D Murphy Co .worked in figuring, mailroom and correspondent for the Central region. She has been at PPPI for 4 years. She has been married for 48 years and has 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren

Bob Boeye  Warehouse Manager

Bob Boeye is the warehouse manager for Phoenix Promotional Products, overseeing all shipments for Phoenix´s online stores. Bob is also a sales rep. for Phoenix for the last 6 years and has his own business R&B Golf and Promotions. Bob has over 30 years experience in the golf business and specializes in teaching, custom fitting and making golf clubs.

Bob was born and raised in Red Oak and is the assistant golf coach for the high school and runs the junior golf program at the Red Oak Country Club, Bob has worked at many of the countries top golf courses from Tucson, Arizona to Chicago, Illinois and Arlington, Texas where he received a degree in Psychology from The University of Texas at Dallas.

Bob has a son, Beau who is in high school in Red Oak. Bob has recently married his high school sweetheart Peggy and between them, they have 4 sons and 3 grandchildren. In his spare time Bob enjoys playing golf, listening to music and remodeling their family home.

Missy Torbett     Account Receivableser

Missy has a long family history with the promotional products industry. Her mother, grandmother and grandfather have all worked locally in the industry.

Missy, a graduate of Southwestern Community College, has over 12 years in the industry. She started in the file room at JII and spent the majority of her years there in Corporate Programs.

Missy has spent three years as accounts receivable specialist with Phoenix Promotional Products. She is in charge of collecting on accounts and works hard to keep them current.

Missy and her husband Don have three children. Donnie is 10, Nadine is 5 and baby Lena was born in February. In their "free" time, they attend Donnie and Nadine's extra activities. Missy is also co-director of the youth program at her church. She enjoys watching sports, reading, scrapbooking and sewing when time allows.

Kim Marsden

Kim has only been working with the promotional industry since last April, but has enjoyed connecting with so many different people. Prior to working for Phoenix Promotional Products, she spent over eight years with the Red Oak Express, our local newspaper. She handled bookkeeping, advertising, circulation and human resources. She also spent 15 years working with the retail industry, which included management.

Kim originally came from Fraser, MI (a suburb of Detroit) where she met and married her husband, Mike. They now reside in Red Oak while raising two teenage children, Shelby (16) and Corey (13 ½), who keeps them very busy with all of their activities. Mike farms locally with his father and brother. They raise and feed-out cattle, plus row crop beans and corn.

Kim’s hobbies are camping with family and friends, bowling, crocheting and knitting. She also volunteers her time to the local school’s athletic booster club.
